hello.
Hi. I’m Gramma Sir (though some people call me Nicola Moore), and I create picture books for kids of all ages. (I’m forty-two and three-quarters.)
This photo is of the first time I ever saw an artichoke in bloom. (Before that I had only ever seen an artichoke in cheese dip.) Aren’t they beautiful?
Some people say artichokes symbolize resilience—because of their tough outer shell—and love—because of their tender heart. If that’s true, I think I’m a lot like an artichoke. (Plus purple is my favorite color.)
What vegetable are you like?

The Judgy Bunny
A half-lop Bunny judges that her ears are wrong. She wants them to be perfect. She wants everything to be perfect—including the other animals on the farm where she lives.
Will her judgements make the farm a better place, or will it be better if she learns to accept herself and others exactly as they are?
The Judgy Bunny is the first book I ever made. I wrote all the words and made all the pictures.
The characters were poked into existence using felt, and the scenes are made from fabric, paper mache, 3D-printed filament, and other handicrafts.
(The only AI used to make this book were the vowels. E,O,U, and fifty-eight Ys were also used. We all went for ice cream after.)
